When evaluating your property survey to determine the appropriate pool size, it’s important to consider local setback regulations:

  • Side Setbacks: Most properties have a required 5- or 7.5-foot setback from the side property lines. In Pasco County, pool equipment cannot be placed on the side of the home if there is less than 7.5 feet between the house and the property line. In such cases, all equipment must be installed behind the home.

  • Rear Setback: A setback of 5 to 15 feet from the rear property line is typically required. The exact distance depends on your city, county, or HOA regulations. Most property surveys will indicate these required setbacks.

  • Pool-to-Home Distance: The water’s edge of the pool must be at least 5 feet from your home’s structure. This requirement helps protect the structural integrity of your house foundation and footer.

Pro Tip: Long Term Pools take time!

Some companies may advertise rapid installation timelines—such as 30 days—but often do not guarantee these schedules in writing. When asked, they may change the subject, revise their estimate, or include numerous conditions in the fine print. It’s important to clarify what is included and get all timelines in writing.

Each type of pool has its own construction timeline based on proper building practices:

  • Concrete pools require approximately 28 days for the shell to cure before waterproofing materials can be applied. This curing period is essential for structural integrity and long-term performance. While the concrete itself is not inherently waterproof, it is protected by a high-quality waterproof coating applied afterward.

  • Fiberglass pools typically need about two weeks to settle after placement before the surrounding concrete deck or paver apron is installed. This allows the shell and ground to stabilize, ensuring a clean finish and long-term durability.

Additional time may be needed for permits, inspections, utility coordination, and custom features like decking, tile, or enclosures. Our team carefully builds in these timelines to deliver a project that meets both expectations and quality standards.

Timeframe & Deposits:

We offer one of the lowest deposits in the industry—just $3,000, which is typically applied by the time we submit engineering documents and file for permitting. As a factory-direct, production pool installer, our pricing is often $5,000 to $25,000 less than many competitors. This not only makes your investment more cost-effective, but can also contribute to added equity in your home, as you’re building a high-quality pool at a lower overall cost.

Current Timeline Expectations:

Our current lead time before construction begins is approximately 2 months, depending largely on:

  • County-specific permitting processes

  • Electrical utility clearances

  • On-site construction review of the sales site plan

Clients with digital surveys often experience faster approvals.

Fiberglass Installation Process

Fiberglass pools are typically installed the same week excavation begins, with all plumbing and equipment in place before our installation team leaves the site. After installation, we allow the pool to settle for two weeks to ensure ground stabilization—a critical step in long-term performance, much like the curing period required for concrete pools.

Following the settling period, the remaining steps—including electrical bonding, inspections, concrete forming, and deck or footer installation for pavers—take an average of 8 to 10 weeks from the start of excavation to project completion, depending on your county’s inspection process and the availability of electrical and concrete crews.

Pricing:

Pricing subject to change. Additional Options available like Screen Enclosures, heaters, and upgrade Concrete & Acrylic to Pavers. Additional fees for different municipalities.
